I‘m holding on to these two a little closer, since Monday. Have you ever had something so traumatising happen that it shook your entire soul? That was me on Monday. Continue reading
Well I didn’t really find any magic at Ticknock forest, but it is the kind of place where you expect elves to run around on some conquest to destroy some evil in this world. I didn’t see any elves, but I did see snow and that was magical enough for me. Getting to Ticknock was quite a mission, I would definitely suggest that you bully some lovely friends with a car into going with you, otherwise you have to take a bus, cross a highway and walk up an insane road with blind corners everywhere while cars speed by. I don’t think there is anything worse on the thighs than a never ending road that has a slight incline all the way up, the good part is ; its a great work out and you get to do most of getting to the top of a mountain on tar. Of course the real rewards is being surrounded by trees all around you, and views of the entire Dublin and if you look close enough you can see the mountains in Belfast.
Being the sillies we are we completely forgot to pack any food and had one small bottle of water. Yeah, I know! Crazy, but we carried on and walked for hours and hours, just being gently caressed by snow, seeing tiny snowmen all around and dogs excitingly trying to catch the snowflakes. When we finally walked down the mountain seemed to be angry at our decision to leave and decided to turn the softness of the snowflakes into hard painful hail! Nothing gives you energy to make it back to the bottom like being pelted in the face with hail! We rushed home and stuffed our faces with all the food and water we could get. Magical days come at a cost and I’m still feeling it in my stiff body!

With the dedicated day for love (valentines day) approaching, I thought why not have a whole post on Dublin in love. Yes, Dublin is a city and doesn’t really have any feelings so for Dublin to be in love would be kind of hard, but sometimes it feels like the city is just overflowing with love. The swans on the canal making any boring walk romantic, the beautiful building just screaming love is happening here and even the drunks, just passionately screaming away a storm. Dublin is a city to love and fall in love with. Even if its not with the love of your life, you can just fall in love with the cobblestones, because sometimes cobblestones have a lot more going on than some of the people you’ve been on a date with.
^^ hearts on the wall.
^^ They don’t say love birds for nothing.
^^ Swans being majestic.
^^ We love you Dublin.
^^ You can find love everywhere.
^^ The best way to live.
^^ My soulbro.
Do you have any plans for valentines day?
Weekend are made for adventures, wait any time is a great time for adventures. We have been in full adventures, get our fun on mode lately. Trying to tourist the life out of our city before we leave, its been dandy to say the least. From strawberry picking on the hottest day in the world to rowing on a dam, relaxing at home and Carl studying away a storm. Ordinary days are the ones you remember. Its all about making memories and having fun along the way and photos captures the moments you don’t want to forget.
^^ We had such an intense thunderstorm here on Friday. The sky was blue and wonderful on one side and super ominous on the other, and suddenly it was a ridiculous thunderstorm. It knocked the whole areas electricity out and started a wildfire.
^^ The garden roses are really just showing off now. These guys and the lilies are beautifying the front verandah to the max.
^^ Spray painting the wooden ladder. This photo is deceiving, I actually ended up spray painting the ladder. Go ME!
^^ I was so shocked to see someone else playing sad ball. Sad ball is my thing! What is sad ball? Its when you end up playing with a ball all by yourself, while looking super goth/emo with a sad, sulky face. This guy was playing sad ball hard.
^^ a relaxing row. Well it was relaxing when I was not rowing.
^^ I kept rowing in a circle and I could not stop laughing. My arms did not want to work.
^^ Look at that form!
^^ Walks around parks. This park is filled with evil ducks. They will chase you down and do odd duck things to you. Beware.
^^ Strawberry picking. Boy, it sure was hot. I mean really hot. I felt like passing out and just becoming a strawberry myself. I didn’t. I’m still human. Don’t worry.
^^ They gave us a cute little bucket and I was happy as a clam. I love containers. Everything should have a place!
^^ Carl wants me to do a segment on my blog all about the photos he takes of me and giant trees. I told him I will call it bigotry/biggatree. I can be so punny sometimes.
^^ yummy olives spotted. None purchased.
^^ Vegan feast aka a date worthy of a thousand stars. Dates at home can be just what the Dr ordered.
^^ Super delicious strawberry and mint water.
^^We’ve been hiking as much as we can lately and its been a dream. Getting our sweat on while being in nature. Just the best.
What have you been doing lately?
