The good old days doesn’t compare to this

In the good old days we could go hiking without a care in the world, we could go to a restaurant without having this deer in the headlights look in our eyes and we could go for a normal walk without having to worry about the sun.

Now a simple little walk on the promenade gets turned into a game of “how to avoid the sun at all costs”, baby Arren just hates the sun, he’s our little Irish shamrock that acts like a vampire when sun touches him, he’s a little ticking time bomb that will let you know it’s time to get out of the sun or else.

Last weekend we went for a little walk on the promenade, being foolish we thought it was a perfect cloudy day and we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing, but the sun…..the sun is sneaky here, its keeps trying to escape out of the clouds and it always wins. ┬áOur little walk turned into a musical chairs of sorts.

We would walk one way, the sun would shine directly on Arren, he would fuss and we would turn around and walk back.  Then the sun would disappear behind a cloud and we would turn around, trying to hustle as far as we can before the sun came out.

Back in the “good old days” a simple walk would have been really easy, I wouldn’t have a care in the world while making my way to the end of the promenade, but now? Now, a simple walk is really fun. ┬áHe really makes things way more interesting and keeps us on our toes!

I’m scared for when he starts crawling, I’m sure he’s going to be like a little cat, always trying to trip me up, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Happy weekend guys!
