Where to get cold drinks in Poland

Gdansk is hot and humid, and sometimes you’re just in desperate need of something cold to drink.  Now you can go sit down at a restaurant and demand they serve you extra ice with your soda, or you can be like me just innocently wanting to cool down without having to sit down, and not being able to find a cold drink anywhere in sight, but don’t worry I’ve got your back.

I don’t know what it is about Poland, but Polish people don’t seem to like an ice cold soda on a hot day, I’ve got into the gas stations to see such a sad selection of beverages in the display fridges only to be further disappointed that it’s not really cold, I would call it just above room temperature.

If you’re feeling lost here are some tips to help you snag a quick cold drink on the run.

If you’re looking for a cold coke, Carrefour has this little fridge ready for you, if you’re in a pickle you can get colder cokes at fresh, it’s no bigger than these cans but you can’t win them all right?

You can find another open fridge ready to serve you some sok, aka juice that’s coldish.  available at carrefour.  Biedronka has a closed fridge for sok aka juice.

Finally you can get Poland’s favourite beverage pepsi in a closed fridge, this one i actually closed, Just look for it next to your vodka in the alcohol section.  If all else fails.  Look in the alcohol section for sodas, they all seem to be hiding there.
