Easy Sensory Play

I feel like the internet and all those cool mom influencers, really make things more difficult than it should be.

I constantly see all these super amazing activities and things that requite me to run out to get things, but why?┬á Why are we so easily influenced by these “great mothers” who have everything put together.┬á Sensory play is amazing for development and a fun, yet extremely messy time, that’s great for toddlers.

After church one day I decided to grab all the different tectured things I had around.  One plate was filled with rice, another filled buckwheat groats, another with rice, one with corn startch and one with normal flour.

I grabbed a sieve and some cookie cutters and let Arren go to town.  Boy, was he having fun.  I probably should have taken him out of his Sunday best, but you know, you live and you learn.

Next time you’re looking for a quick way to entertain your toddler, look around at all the fun possiblities already in the house.
