I have this odd relationship with oats, I will be all excited to make it and after taking two bites realize it could never be as delicious as a piece of crunchy toast. That’s when the oats sadness sets in, and I literally start feeling like I’m eating the worst thing in the world. I’m sorry oats, maybe one day you will take toast place. My solution to my need for toast when I wake up, is to keep the bread out of sight, and make something super yummy.
This raw porridge is that yummy. Its a great way to start your morning of right, with that really delicious taste that will make you want to kick the days butt! To put the strawberry on the top, its really easy to make.
RAW STRAWBERRY PORRIDGE – serves 1
- 1 large apple, peeled and chopped
- 1 pear, peeled and chopped
- 4 large strawberries, washed
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup non dairy milk
- sweetener to taste
Place everything in a blender and blend until its a porridge consistency.
