Yes, that is a very bold title, but I stand with it. This is the best berry smoothie you will ever have.
Just looking at this smoothie makes me want to go make one right away, this berry smoothie has become a firm favourite in our house and if you were going to be completely vain, with looks like that it’s easy to see why.
I don’t think you can ever go wrong with berries in your smoothie, the natural sweetness the pretty colour and all those antioxidants that help us look better. I’m all for something that’s delicious, but is also packed full of nutrients, because balance? I use berries from a bag of frozen mixed berries, but feel free to use a mixture of your own frozen berries. If you don’t want to use yogurt you can always use thick coconut milk. This smoothie can easily be adapted for your own sweetness level, add more or less sweetener as you would like.
FROZEN BERRIES SMOOTHIE – serves 2
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1 large banana, peeled and chopped
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup greek yogurt/coconut yogurt or coconut milk
- 2 cups cold water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 sprig of mint – optional
- sweetener to taste
Place everything in a blender and blend until smooth. Taste and adjust. Serve immediately.
